Statistics Course

This online program offers a comprehensive introduction to statistics, based on the biostatistical analysis of real data in medical research. The program includes a review of the most common techniques in the field, as well as the application of these techniques in several types of statistical software. Weekly lectures are combined with practicum exercises to support and engage participants. We offer the possibility to learn different statistical software tools, namely JASP, Jamovi, R, Python, SAS as well as a some SQL. Introduction and SQL lectures are mandatory, but students can choose which statistical program they want to learn. They can choose either one of them, several or the whole package offered.

By the conclusion of the program, participants will be able to:

• Choose an appropriate statistical analysis plan
• Determine the distribution and choose between parametric & nonparametric tests
• Analyze the collected data
• Communicate the results from their analyzed data by figures, tables

Time commitment

It is expected that program participants will dedicate four hours per week to this online program.

Program will be divided into two days a week, two hours each.

Usually each lecture will be divided into 35 minutes of teaching plus 20 minutes of individual work (2X) and 10 minute wrap up.

Those participants who attend at least 80% of program and comeple practicum test will earn a certificate of completion (each sofware attended will be listed).

Professionals interested in learning and applying commonly used approaches in statistics. Biomedical professionals are especially encouraged

Eligibility

Basic computer skills, basic understanding of mathemathics and English at least at B1 level. Students need to have a computer, access to internet and be able to install programs necessary for the course

Program Tracks and Fees

Participants must select one of the following program tracks:

Track 1:Statistics with JASP

Introduction, JASP, SQL. 12 hours. Fee 90 euros

Track 2:Statistics with Jamovi

Introduction, Jamovi, SQL. 12 hours. Fee 90 euros

Track 3:Statistics with SAS

Introduction, SAS, SQL. 14 hours. Fee 105 euros

Track 4:Statistics with R

Introduction, R, SQL. 16 hours. Fee 120 euros

Track 5:Statistics with Python

Introduction, Python, SQL. 16 hours. Fee 120 euros

Track 6:Statistics with 5 types of software

Introduction, JASP, Jamovi, SAS, R, Python, SQL. 54 hours. Fee 390 euros (15 euro discount)

All the courses can be combined, meaning that ALL students will participate in Introduction and SQL courses plus any statistics software they chose. The fees would be by following foirmula: Introductiuon (2 hours, 15 euros), JASP (8 hours, 60 euros), Jamovi (8 hours, 60 euros), SAS (10 hours, 75 euros), R (12 hours, 90 euros), Python (12 hours, 90 euros), SQL (2 hours, 15 euros). The full package of all softwares (Track 6) will have a discount of 15 euros. 10% discount is aplicable to all students who also bought HTML & CSS as data presentation tools.
